Experience	Bates Ultimate has made strides to become more competitive over the past few years, and we've been extremely successful in this venture. We've traditionally played in the Mixed division in the Fall and then Open and Women's in the Spring, but now we play more single-gender tournaments in the Fall to integrate our new players more smoothly and to build a better on-the-field rapport. These changes have paid off: In 2008, Cold Front went to Regionals for the first time and Orange Whip fell just short of making Regionals. We're confident that Cold Front will repeat and that Orange Whip will make it this year. We're not all about strict single-gender competition. We play in a couple of coed tournaments every year (including Hampshire College's Red November, which we've won the last 2 times we went). Ultimate isn't just winning, it's making friends and having fun. Shoot us an email if you have any questions or want to check us out. We'd love to host you. Funding	The average out-of-pocket expenses for our Ultimate team is whatever our jerseys cost ($52 for 2 jerseys in 2008-9), which we get to keep for ourselves. The school takes care of all other expenses, right down to gas money.
Goals	We eventually want to have a team that competes for Nationals every single year. Our 2009 goals are to go to Regionals and make some noise. We're extremely confident that we will meet these goals.
